New Korg Apps and Wavestate 2.0
Long time no see! I’ve spent most of this year in an intense coding sprint at Korg R&D, developing the new Editor/Librarian and Sample Builder apps for the Korg wavestate and modwave, along with the 2.0 update for Wavestate and forthcoming 1.1 update for modwave to support all the new features.
The new features include full remote editing with animated wave sequence display and live modulated value animations, and the ability to create your own multisample and banks, and upload them to the synth.
I did all this pretty much on my own, while juggling several other Korg R&D projects, so I didn’t have time to get everything into 1.0. But I hope to continue improving these in future updates.
These new apps and the wavestate 2.0 update launched worldwide earlier this week, and aside from the usual rollout snafus and hiccups, the reception has been overwhelmingly positive. Very rewarding to see so much great feedback for something I’ve poured so much of my time and energy into.

Congratulations! Nice looking UI. Did you use a 3rd-party framework?

Hi John,
that is really you how developed this excellent software for 2 great synths?!
Really love it! Actually the editor / Librarian for my Wavestate is function very well on the new Macbook Air M1 MacOs 11.
But it is a pity it does not work on my Studio machine MacPro 5.1 Mojave, only telling ” Waiting for device… ”
I think it has something to do with problems with other drivers on the machine or with the fact, that Wavestate is constantly sending clock signals via USB/MIDI and thereby corrupting signal flow.
I would really love to use the excellent software with this beautiful machine within my main Studio Mac!
I am looking forward to my impressions of the modwave wich is going to arrive later this week. The synth seems to be as beautiful as the Wavestate, but i fear the communication problems with Editor on the studio MacPro will turn out similar. May be that is going to be fixed, better sooner than later, so that the great amount of workflow expansion by the software can be available in every Studio environment – and I know there are lots of colleges hardly waiting for that, too :-))
Anyway thanks for your brilliant work !!
Have good Time and keep healthy

Thanks, Thomas! Not sure what the issue could be with your old Mac Pro. Shouldn’t be anything to do with the clock transmission. I’ll send you an email from work with some other things to check.
